Another from the 1990’s. This is my old reliable Toyota pickup outfitted to live in the field for days at a time. When I was working on my thesis I would travel to my study sites often times for hours down rutted old desert roads. It was not practical to commute to the sites from home and get anything done in the day so I just lived out of the back of my truck. This shot is from the Idaho National Lab where I was ground truthing satellite imagery. This is a spot I spent the night because I was mapping a fire scar and it was 40 miles by dirt road back to the pavement.
